Frequently Asked Questions: Pressure

Why is there a $26.00 high accuracy fee?

This fee is applied to any pressure gauge that needs to be certified with an accuracy greater than 1.0%. All pressure gauges are tested at five test points, if their accuracy is 1%, 2.5% or higher. Below 1% accuracy, we test at 10 test points and charge the additional test gauge high accuracy fee.

Can you adjust most pressure gauges?

Most gauges that are not liquid filled and don’t have permanently sealed cases can be adjusted to compensate for small errors or minor overpressure abuse. If the gauge has experienced excessive overpressure, it will require replacing.

Can you refill a glycerin filled gauge?

Yes, but if the fluid has leaked out of the gauge, the leak must be repaired first.

My lens is cracked. Can you replace it?

All lenses can be replaced unless the case is permanently sealed by welding or brazing.
