Torque Department

Our torque department certifies torque wrenches, torque testers, torque screwdrivers and torque multipliers up to 2500 FT LBS of torque. We test torque wrenches and torque multipliers using electronic calibration transducers which gives consistent repeatability of readings. Most click-type torque wrenches are tested with our automatic torque calibrator to eliminate user error associated with feel. All torque tools can be tested using any readout such as FT. LBS., IN. LBS., NEWTON METERS, IN. OZ. and many others. We can test all types of torque wrenches such as dial, beam, click, preset, and digital. We do not test any rotating impact wrenches such as air, electric or hydraulic driven equipment, because the impulse of impact equipment will damage our test transducers.

We also can certify Powerdyne torque tools up to 2500 FT LBS. If a Powerdyne multiplier requires repair, we recommended they be sent back to manufacturer for faster service.

All of our calibration equipment is calibrated regularly with all measurements completely traceable to NIST. We use manufacturer tolerance specification to certify your tools, but we can use any special tolerance you may specify. You will always receive the highest level of customer service when you send your equipment to Tool Testing Lab.
